What is the Employee and Family Assistance Program?
Your EFAP is an innovative addition to the traditional benefit package. Balancing the demands in one's personal, family and work life can be challenging, and there are times when professional guidance can assist. With this is mind, your organization has contracted with Interlock to provide an EFAP to its employees. Interlock's counselling, information and referral services are available for any personal problem that may affect your family life, work life, or your general well-being.
In addition your EFAP can help managers and supervisors deal with workplace violence and other critical events, such as accidental death, drastic reduction in workplace or natural disaster. These events affect both employers and employees - Interlock is here to help.
Are services confidential?
Yes. Interlock respects your privacy at all times. Your organization is not informed about who is using services.
Who provides the service?
Interlock is a private not-for-profit company which provides counselling, training and consultation services to more than 350 organizations across Canada. Our highly skilled team of professional counsellors hold either a PhD or Masters degree in their related field. Our counsellors/consultants are licensed or registered Social Workers, Psychologists or Clinical Counsellors.

Who does Interlock serve?
You and your immediate family members who permanently reside in your household and are covered under your other benefits. If you have any questions about eligibility, simply contact the Interlock Intake Department.
Where does Interlock provide the service?
Counselling services are provided by credentialled clinicians in offices readily accessible to your workplace or your home.
How much does it cost?
The Interlock EFAP is a benefit most often paid for by the employer. If long term or specialized counselling is required, your counsellor will refer you to a community resource you can afford. If you have any questions about costs, please contact the Interlock Intake Department.
What is EASNA/COA accreditation?
EASNA/COA accreditation is a comprehensive process by which the organization goes through a thorough self-study and an on-site review by trained Peer Reviewers in order to meet the highest standards available.
